The National Greenhouse Manufacturers
Association is a professional trade organization for the
manufacturers and suppliers of greenhouses and greenhouse
components.
Mission of The NGMA

To serve the interest of the industry
and its members.

To gather, develop and disseminate
information vital to the greenhouse industry.

To provide a forum for the development
of interrelationships and idea exchange.

To explore existing and new markets.

To give meaning to the customer, growers
and users of greenhouses.
There are four classes of membership in the
Association. Membership (other than honorary, university or
extension) is extended to the company, rather than any
individual. Determination of membership eligibility and
classification is the responsibility of the Board of Directors.
In addition, the Board may also by a majority vote, dismiss or
sanction any NGMA member whose conduct is deemed detrimental to
the organization.
STRUCTURAL MANUFACTURE DIVISION
The Structural Manufacture Division
membership shall consist of all companies incorporated in the
United States whose primary business focus is the manufacturing
of greenhouses in domestic U.S. facilities. Each company shall
have one vote. Companies may be represented at meetings by more
than one-person, but only one person shall be designated as
having voting rights for the company.
COMPONENT MANUFACTURER DIVISION
The Component Manufacturer Division shall
consist of companies whose primary horticultural business focus
is the manufacture of products that are used to equip
greenhouses. Each company shall have one vote. Companies may be
represented at meetings by more than one-person, but only one
person shall be designated as having voting rights for the
company.
SERVICE MEMBERSHIP DIVISION
The Service Membership Division shall
consist of all non-manufacturing firms whose primary
horticultural business focus is the providing of services to the
U.S. greenhouse industry. Each company shall have one vote.
Companies may be represented at meetings by more than
one-person, but only one person shall be designated as having
voting rights for the company.
UNIVERSITY AND EXTENSION AGENT MEMBERSHIP
The University and Extension Agent
Membership shall consist of full-time professors at accredited
universities and extension agents serving the horticultural
industry. University and Extension Agent members may align
themselves with and participate in NGMA meetings, task forces
and committees. They have no individual voting rights and do not
pay dues, but pay a nominal annual fee for correspondence.
